Extremely Blessed- The Lord is in Charge

We were very blessed this week. Extremely blessed. We taught a ton of lessons, found a ton of new investigators. Members even came out with us! We went on two exchanges.

My ponderizing scripture for last week: Alma 26:22 Yea, he that repenteth and exerciseth faith, and bringeth forth good works, and prayeth continually without ceasing--unto such it is given to know the mysteries of God; yea, unto such it shall be given to reveal things which never have been revealed; yea, and it shall be given unto such to bring thousands of souls to repentance, even as it has been given unto us to bring these our brethren to repentance.

Today we went shopping, so look for that.

I'm trying to think of stories but they all run together, they are all super similar. Basically we knock on a lot of doors, sometimes people are there, mostly they aren't. But as we walk around we find people who are interested and we teach them right there. Teach a principle, extend a commitment, and say a prayer 5 minute mp and a new investigator!

D is a really cool investigator we have right now. She said that this is the third time the Book of Mormon had come into her life. What's really cool is that God keeps on throwing her back into our lives if we miss her. We'll see her walking in her apartment complex, we'll find her in Subway. Crazy things like that keep on happening.

A car hit us the other day. They backed into us. Nothing happened though, only two dents that were smaller than a golf ball. But they did flee from the scene rather quickly . . .

We had zone conference this week. It was . . . Interesting.

Side note, about burning the boats. An apostle told us to stay in, but the AP's told us to get out, then burn it. We were also confused about that. But it was based on the story of Fernando Cortez . Or some name close to that. He amassed an army to steal some treasure and right before the battle he told them to burn the boats because they were either going to die or go home in the enemy's boats. (google burn the boats, Captain Hernán Cortés,1519)

We went on a blitz in one of the Spanish sisters' area to help them out. English Sister M totally rocked it! Definitely showed me up.

Man, every day feels so similar I'm having a hard time knowing what to tell you. It was colder this week! I wore a cardigan today! I also bought a sweater. Go DI!

We got to do a ton of service this week. We helped out this awesome member who is a foster mom. She'll take the kids who have special needs. So we did some ironing for her, it was awesome to hear some parenting advice. We'll see if I can remember that in multiple years. We also helped out at Salvation Army again!

It's been really cool to see on my mission how the Lord is in charge. I don't make things happen in our area, it's all up to what the Lord wants us to learn that day. We work suuppppeeerrrr hard every single day, but if we teach lessons, find investigators, baptize anyone, that's all up to him. It's fun to be a part of His work.

Love you all sooooooo much!
